Winter Instructors

NJTL is now hiring winter instructors for the October to December 2010 session. All instructors will:

• Teach recreational tennis to children ages 5 to 18
• Follow a lesson plan schedule
• Provide instruction about life skills and American Heart Association information
• Serve as a role model to NJTL participants

Specific skills needed for employment are knowledge of tennis and the ability to learn proper tennis teaching skills. Other general skills required are promptness, dependability, responsibility and being organized.

Requirements for all applicants include completing an application, passing a criminal background check and successfully completing NJTL training.  We prefer that all instructors have First Aid and CPR training as well.

Specific requirements for lead instructors include:

• Being a high school graduate
• Having a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance

Specific requirements for assistant instructors include:

• Being 16 years of age by the start of the program in October
