Level System
Level 1
This player has either just started playing tennis or has limited experience and is still working on being able to rally with another player.
Age Groups
- Ages 5-8
- Ages 9-18
Level 2
This player is fairly consistent when hitting medium-paced shots but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control, depth or power. Level 2 players should be able to hit:
- 10 bounce-ups in a row
- 10 bounce-downs in a row
- 5 out of 10 serves from the baseline
- 5 out of 10 groundstrokes from the baseline
Level 3
This player has achieved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but needs to develop depth and variety. Level 3 players should be able to hit:
- 8 out of 10 serves from the baseline into the correct service box
- Successfully complete a 20-shot rally with another player
